ACTION: REIMAGINE THE WALL
Do you believe the Mexico-US border wall should be made of gummy bears, see-saws, ice or the world largest fish tank?
In a practice of resistance, à la Lebbius Woods the famed theoretical architect of impossible constructions, artist Justin Hoover responded to the Dept. of Homeland Security’s Customs and Border Protection (CBP) call for the design and build of several prototype Mexico/US wall structures by crowdsourcing and illustrating a collection of new wall designs, including an aquarium wall, a wall made out of swiss cheese, and a wall of see-saws.
100 Days Action invites you to join Justin Hoover and come up with a design of your own. They can be funny, irreverent, silly, radical, insulting, impossible or just crazy ideas for how to build this supposed wall.
Send your images to email@example.com or tag us on social media using #theoreticalwallchitecture and #100daysaction on our on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. We’ll compile them into a group submission and deliver the lot via email.
Justin Hoover’s call was inspired by Stephanie Syjuco’s crowdsourced community artworks.Want to hear about more events and updates? Sign up for our newsletter below!
