ACTION: COLLECT + SEND THE SOIL OF THE WOMEN’S MARCH
The Women’s March of January 21st was the largest collective protest in US History. Artist Sienna Orlando-Lalaguna seeks your help in the making of Women’s March: Vessels. Orlando-Lalaguna plans to create a collective of ceramic vessels. Each sample you send will be integrated into a ceramic vessel, and appropriately labeled with a location. These cups will be brought out every 50 years so that future generations may drink from them, and remember the historical significance of The Women’s Marches.
- Collect bits of rock and soil from the grounds of the Women’s March and sister marches (a teaspoon worth is all that’s needed). Pebbles or sandy material is best, although dirt and soil will work if needed.
- Label your sample with the city or Sister March it is representing
- Send to Sienna Orlando-Lalaguna, c/o, The Revolution:
